This file provides you with an example of how to use PostNet! with your mailing list. To bar code your FileMaker Pro mailing list, you should examine the the field definitions and layouts to see how everythingB
is set-up.
The Data Entry layout lets you enter mailing addresses. You can also sort them by company name or ZIP code. Some sample addresses have already been entered, The ZIP codes of these samples correspo
nd to the bar code samples shown in the "Bar Code Samples" section of the User Documentation.
To see how the addresses print, press the button marked Envelope or Labels. Both layouts will sort your addresses D
by ZIP Code. The Envelope layout was designed for use with #10 envelopes and a center feed printer (like the Apple Laserwriter II series printers. The Label layout will work with Avery #5162 labels. You may nee
d to make adjustments to these layouts, depending on the type of printer or envelope you are using.
Finally, ZIP List gives you a total count of the number of addresses which have the same first 5 digits in thFkeir ZIP code. This is useful helpful for bundling your mail pieces by ZIP code according to USPS standards.
